Merck announced results from the Phase III TroFuse-005 clinical trial: its investigational TROP2-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) sacituzumab tirumotecan (sac-TMT), compared with chemotherapy, reduced the risk of death by 32% and the risk of disease progression or death by 41% in patients with advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer who had previously received platinum-containing chemotherapy and anti-PD-1/L1 immunotherapy. Median overall survival was 19.0 months, 6.9 months longer than the 12.1 months in the chemotherapy group; median progression-free survival was 7.2 months, 3.3 months longer than the 3.9 months in the chemotherapy group. The objective response rate was 35.1%, higher than the 17.3% in the chemotherapy group. The study enrolled 776 patients. The U.S. FDA has accepted the Biologics License Application for this drug for the relevant patient population and granted priority review, with a target decision date of June 15, 2027.
