"Demand destruction" and the risk of a Saudi attack pull in opposite directions, international oil prices fall more than 2%.
Zhitong Finance APP has learned that U.S. crude oil fell more than
2% on Monday. Investors are weighing the threat of further attacks on Saudi Arabia's energy infrastructure on one hand, while worrying that elevated prices may ultimately erode demand on the other. WTI crude oil futures fell 2.19% to
$101 per barrel; Brent crude oil futures fell 1.89% to $114.51 per barrel.
