Four lines opened; 86% of the main corridors of the "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network completed.

On September 28, the Xiongan-Shangqiu section of the Beijing-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway, the Xi'an-Ankang section of the Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway, the Yichang-Xingshan High-Speed Railway, and the Harbin-Yichun High-Speed Railway all began operations on the same day. From the North China Plain to the Qinba Mountains, and from the Three Gorges Reservoir area to the Lesser Khingan Mountains, the four high-speed rail lines wind and crisscross. With this, 86% of the main corridors of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed rail network have been completed, injecting new momentum into regional economic and social development through transportation.
