Goldman Sachs: The five major U.S. hyperscale cloud service providers will increase AI infrastructure spending by 54% in 2027, reaching $1.2 trillion, above Wall Street expectations. Amazon, Google parent Alphabet, Microsoft, Oracle, and Meta are expected to spend $800 billion on AI infrastructure this year. Hyperscale cloud service providers need approximately $300 billion in annual AI revenue to break even. However, rising financing needs and infrastructure constraints could weigh on the pace of future spending growth.
