Tencent officially launches "TenPay Go," its first payment tool for overseas users visiting China.

At the "Smart Pay Qianhai Welcoming APEC" Qianhai Internationalized Payment Services Launch Event held this morning, Tencent announced the official release of "TenPay Go," the first payment app designed for overseas users visiting China. It is understood that this payment tool will support visitors to China in using familiar payment methods to make purchases within the domestic WeChat Pay merchant network. Currently, TenPay Go has partnered with seven major international card networks, including UnionPay and VISA, and can link to nearly 60 overseas wallets. In addition, TenPay Go will also work with Shenzhen Tong to create a transit card package service. Overseas visitors can activate it and use it immediately, scanning codes to ride the Shenzhen Metro and buses. It is expected to launch in beta in late September.
