In news, XPENG Inc. earlier announced that its humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation business, Penghang, has completed its first round of financing exceeding US$900 million, with a post-money valuation of over US$6.3 billion, setting a record for the largest single round of private equity financing in Chinas embodied intelligence sector. The financing was led by IDG, with Gao Rong participating, and support from strategic investors like Alibaba and Tencent, while XPENG continues to hold a controlling stake in the Siasun Robot & Automation business.
Soochow stated that the company's gross margin resilience is evident, maintaining a composite gross margin of over 20% for four consecutive quarters from Q3 2025 to Q2 2026. Considering that the company is a rare entity integrating new energy vehicles, humanoid Siasun Robot & Automation, intelligent driving technology licensing, and Robotaxi, the current valuation has not fully reflected the option value of its sub-businesses, and it maintains a "Buy" rating.
