Chen Jiaqi pointed out that with the support of Hong Kong investment companies, the vast majority of companies based in Hong Kong and the mainland have either expanded or are in the process of expanding their overseas businesses.
Clara Chan, CEO of Hong Kong Investment Management Limited, attended the 2026 Global Healthcare Summit and stated that the company has invested in over 200 enterprises in high-growth and high-impact sectors, including biotechnology and health technology, which are among the core focuses of the summit. Approximately 70% of the invested capital has been allocated to early-stage and growth-stage companies. Clara Chan pointed out that, with the support of Hong Kong Investment, the vast majority of companies in their portfolio based in Hong Kong and Mainland China have either already expanded their overseas operations or are in the process of doing so. Additionally, 11 of the invested companies have gone public in Hong Kong, and over 30 companies have submitted or plan to submit initial public offering (IPO) applications in Hong Kong in 2026, fully demonstrating the comprehensive support provided by Hong Kong Investment to the continuous growth of enterprises across various regions and capital markets. Hong Kong Investment is tasked with a dual mission to invest in Hong Kong's future through two approaches: on one hand, to generate financial returns, and on the other hand, to inject growth momentum into Hong Kong's economy and society.
