Hong Kong Futures Clearing Corporation: After the business hours on August 7, the collateral haircut ratio will be adjusted.
The Hong Kong Futures Exchange has decided to adjust the haircuts for cash collateral, foreign exchange fund bills, bonds, and U.S. government bonds after the end of trading hours on August 7, 2026.
On August 4, the Hong Kong Futures Clearing Corporation (Hong Kong Futures Exchange) announced that, according to Article 2.6 of the "Futures Clearing House Procedures," the Hong Kong Futures Exchange has decided to adjust the haircuts for cash collateral, foreign exchange fund notes and bonds, as well as U.S. government bonds after the end of business hours on August 7, 2026. The new haircut rates will apply to daily settlement participants choosing to use different types of collateral accepted by the Futures Clearing House to fulfill their margin payment obligations. Settlement participants should make the necessary funding arrangements to meet any margin requirements resulting from the adjustment of the collateral haircut rates.
